You are viewing a Canadian post WWII Queen's crown RCEME cap badge. It is a bi-metal badge with a "tang"style fastener, original and in good order. A fine example of the style of cap badge used in the Canadian army from 1954 to 1968, when the unification of the forces rendered it obsolete.
Cap Badge RCEME/GEMRC
RCEME was created primarily from the Engineering Branch of the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps. Ordnance Mechanical Engineers, artificers, and craftsmen from more than seventy RCOC, Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, and Royal Canadian Engineers trades were transferred to the new Corps of RCEME.

The survey covered the period of March 1, 2018 through February 28, 2019. On November 15, 2019, the MCP provided DHCS with additional information regarding its Corrective Action Plan (CAP) in response to the report originally issued on June 28, 2019. All items have been reviewed and DHCS accepts the MCP's submitted CAP. The CAP is hereby closed.

A fine example of the first style of RCEME badges used in the Canadian army from 1944 to 1954. After it was changed to the bi-metal version used up until 1968.
